What is Read-a-Thon? Read-a-thon is a great way to encourage reading as well as to raise money for our school.  The money is used to pay for special school purchases (such as the IDEA LAB and Gaga pits), and to fund PTO supported enrichment programs (Art Adventure, naturalists visits, Math Night, etc.).
Students can earn various prizes based on how many minutes they read and the pledges they collect.  You do not have to collect any pledges to earn prizes.  For a complete list of prizes levels and awards Click here.
New this year you can register, send email requests for sponsors and make payment through Pledge Star. Click Here to register.  Every child who registers will earn a golden crown to wear at the school signifying that they are part of this years "wild rumpus!"  You may also participate by filling out and returning the paper pledge form that comes home with your student(s).  If you need a receipt for cash donation, Click Here.

Also new this year:  Let’s Play BINGO Click Here -The more kids read, the more they earn, the more they will be rewarded! Prizes will be awarded throughout the Read-a-thon during a weekly raffle. To be eligible for the raffle, complete the enclosed bingo sheet and deposit in the Drawing Box in the school office. Winning tickets will be drawn weekly, and you could win the popular Spartan winter beanie or other prizes.
