We Scare Hunger Drive

WE Scare Hunger, a districtwide food drive, will begin Monday, October 28. Students in all schools are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products to school through Friday, November 8. Students can also ask for donations when "trick-or-treating" and bring collected items to school on November 1. Students participating in the Community Education program Youth in Action (grades 9-12), in partnership with Orono Middle School FLIT (Future Leaders In Training), are leading the drive. All collected food will be donated to the Maple Plain Food Shelf and the Spartan Basic Needs Closet to help those in need. Donations needed include: Canned goods Granola bars Soup Oatmeal Cereal Boxed meals Laundry pods Deodorant and other personal hygiene items Collection points are: Orono Schumann Elementary - Inside the main entry by the gymnasium Orono Intermediate School - Inside the main entry by the cafeteria Orono Middle School - Inside the front entry Orono High School - Table in the cafeteria Orono Community Education - Office in the Education Link
